I too will be flying J on QR from their sale earlier this year...IAH-DOH-SIN and back in July. Looking forward to the experience...just wish I could see the new QSuite on one of my legs ;-) Based on the post earlier, does anyone have first hand experience on IAH-DOH or the reverse with food running out toward the end of the flight? It would really stink to run out of food on a 16 hour flight!

Also managed to book at night at one of the Ritz Carlton properties in DOH on the new stopover program! Can't beat the price.

To prevent food running out, when the FA comes to take your food order either pre-take off or immediately after, give them your preference for whatever you want to eat even if you don't know when you want to eat it, and they will reserve you your preferences for later subject to availability.

Generally this way you have a high chance of getting what you would like. And if you can predict it, you can tell them when you want it. Remember you can eat what you want when you want it, and you can mix and match between the menus.

And of course you can change your mind, but availability might be less later on in the flight. If you reserve something and later don't want it, out of fairness to other passengers please think to let a FA know.

Quick question re T4 at LHR. If I have a mobile boarding pass and hand baggage only. Can I go straight to security?

Or do I need a visa check for The final destination Calcutta.
