ANZ card blunder!!!
"Cardholders who use the co-branded Qantas ANZ card overseas should have been awarded 2 points instead of one for every dollar spent"
aparently we havent been getting the bonus since 1999.
I have checked some of my statements and seem to have been given the two points.
Apparently this dates back to 1999.
I wonder if we will get extra points. the story states it will cost ANZ $27 million.

I think either you are reading that wrong or SMH has it wrong. I read the article in this morning's Melbourne Age and it states that ANZ had not "budgeted" for the overseas double points, not that they hadn't been paying them. Acordingly ANZ had waved goodbye to the high flying exec who couldn't do a proper budget pojection - I wonder what size payout he got? Just really another reason for ANZ to whinge about how badly done by they are and how they will have to up everyone's fees.

the article to which you have referred states
"relates to an under-accrual of loyalty points since 1999."
no mention of any word like budget or not budgeting for them.
guess time will tell.

FWIW my statements always have a section showing the OS bonus points.
