now, if only QF would allow status bonus and a 10% WT+ bonus when travelling on BA http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif</font>
Why? WT+ is an economy service after all, so economy points should accrue.

Now Full Y SC's, that is a different matter. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

..and if you travel in WT+ on the QF codeshare eg BA10 = QF301, you might even get the status bonus too...

Can you book a WT+ fare under the QF codeshare? You can't book J on these flights on the QF flight number, just wondering about WT+??

i'm pretty sure you can't -- galileo shows only A/F and H/K/M/L/S/V (btw, on the date i looked at, QF code share shows one flight (QF319) with economy fully booked ie all 0's, while BA shows it (BA16) as Y5 BX HX).

dave, qantas does give full Y status credits for travel booked in W and T on BA, don't they??

From what I have heard, it depends on whether or not it is a full WT+ or a discounted WT+ (you know the sort, upgrade for $250 per sector).

Yes, you get full economy status credits in T as well as W. Which is bloody good value considering that many T class fares (eg inclusive tour) are much cheaper than Y fares.

I've read that BA Exec Club distinguishes between W and T, though.

Correct, BA EC awards more points in W than T. T gets normal economy points as it is discounted.

For rtn to Australia, you get 200 EC points in T and 270 in W. W also gets 1.25 times the BA miles of Economy.

Wouldn't fancy a rtn to Australia in BA Economy though !

Much the same as QF economy on that route, to which I consign myself at least twice a year (three times in 2003). Ah, woe is me.

Nothing to complain about, although QF economy is better than BA economy, now that the new IFE is standard. The QF seats are better (or at least to me they are).

The difference is small, but I agree. The QF slimline seats actually have more leg room at the same pitch. However, if you can get into WT+, then there is no comparison. We just need to convince QF that a WT+ equiv might be a good idea! Problem is, they can often fill all the Y seats anyway, so why reduce the capacity of the largest of their aircraft?

editted to add that it is nice to have edit function back to fix my many typos. But now I have excuse for the bad spelling http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif.

And sentence construction? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I'm glad that I'm not the only person who thinks the QF seats are a bit better. I've always said I just fit into them better. Maybe they are actually better.
