Due to circumstances beyond our control, we must make some immediate changes for a short period of time to our available information and how it is displayed. This will result in the following changes to our service until further notice:

* Inability to view QF Z and U inventory
* Inability to view seat maps for BI, DI, JM, KE, KM, LY, UP, and VH
* Inability to view the booking class a fare code books into on US domestic fares (Premium service only)
* Flight Details will not show miles of the route or meal codes
* Comments will not show in Flight Status and the loss of estimated times, gate and baggage claim information for some airlines

* Fare Information will now show only one-way fares if only a Departure Date is entered. It will also show round-trip fares if a Return Date is also entered. (Premium service only)

We are working to restore access to this information as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience while we work through this temporary situation.

Sincerely,
The ExpertFlyer.com Team

Queries are also not showing I, T, and sometimes E & X.

Also seatmaps for QF flights are not differentiating between seats that have actually been allocated and merely blocked for elite PAX. :(

Thnink of a www.checkmytrip.com seat map to get my drift.

And just when I was watching U for an upcoming SYD-PER upgrade I want. Although I guess I can still use QFF award bookings to check..

Anyone have any idea why this stopped working?

According to Expert Flyer Voice posted on AFF, this should be resolved in a few days/cpl of weeks

If you would like to post your flight details, one of the KVS Availability Tool users (or myself) would gladly help you with Z/U availability ;)

Thanks for the offer KVS. There's currently none available so I was checking each day. This is a bit much to ask especially as my flight is not until the early March. I can just use the QFF award booking application to check for until this issue is fixed..

We have fixed a bug with the seat maps that previously was only showing the upper deck in J on 744s. Now it shows upper and main.

Thanks for your patience while we work through these issues.

On 4th Feb, ExpertFlyer Voice posted this information to a similar thread on AFF:

That was 6 weeks ago and I have seen anything from EF since then.

We are still actively arranging to access this information. Our apologies for it taking longer than we all would have hoped.

is it normal for domestic QF flights to not display a seatmap? i cant get it to work at all. i seem to remember hearing that QF don't pre-allocate domestic seats (in checkmytrip i just get "non-smoking" instead of a seat number), i guess its related to this?

Perfectly normal.

Some time >24 hours before departure, for those with status or Qantas Club membership, QF does an auto allocation of seats in order of status based on preferences listed; if you are a platinum member with a forward aisle preference, you are v likely to be in the 1st few rows

For international flights, QF does offer pre-selection of seating

For domestic flights with flight numbers QF1-QF399 ( i.e. domestic legs of international services ) then it is possible to pre-select seats if you have OW status

Have there been any developments in sorting out the problems with displaying Z/U availability?
