I tried this site looking for meal info .
It seems certainly for US airlines to just have the term "meal:" whether for a one hour run on TED - LAX to PHX (no BOB) or a lunchtime flight LAX-ORD so I am unsure what the meal info means.

not sure if it has been mentioned elsewhere, but I find http://www.airtravel.tk exceptionaly useful. It's a little difficult to navigate at times, but it's a great way of seeing fare class availability for no cost.
