You would need to change the FF number to your QF number to request the upgrade, and the upgrade is based on that Qantas status.

The chance of having availability for four passengers to J at the time your upgrade is processed is low. Qantas also does not fill the cabin with upgrades either.

You don't have to do this - you just need to request the upgrade from a logged in QF account "your Bookings" page by supplying the PNR and surname using the "Upgrade a Family member" (Nearer the bottom of the page).

Earning points in Europe and the UK became quite hard.
- QF removed the Status Bonus and minimum points on BA flights
- No more Loyalty Bonus on non-QF SCs.

You still get points for:
- Flights (but very small numbers if you fly discounted Eco)
- Hotel
- Car Rental

Thats it. No credit card, no shopping programs.

QF is very good to get a status, and the lifetime program is very attractive - if you fly in premium classes. Still a few SCs for my LTG. Than I may change my FFP for Oneworld. BA looks very good for that.
