QF function invite

I got this in my email this afternoon...

You've been making the most of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program and it hasn't gone unnoticed.

As a highly valued member of the program, I would like to invite you to attend a cocktail function to thank you for your loyalty over the last year and allow me to share some exciting developments for the year ahead.

Date: Tuesday 9 April 2013
Time: 5.30pm - 7.30pm
Venue: National Gallery of Australia, Gandel Hall
Address: Parkes Place East, Parkes ACT
Dress code: Business attire
Anyone else?

vecta Mar 28, 2013 2:17 pm

Not me, however what they share with you I'd be most interested to hear :)

og Mar 28, 2013 2:28 pm

Nor me. I hope they offered to fly you to CBR if you do not have a Canberra address?

Himeno Mar 28, 2013 3:25 pm

I'm based in CBR...
I'm not likely to be going. I get off work at 5pm on Tuesdays and Parks is at least an hour away from work/home on the bus (or ~$50 by taxi). and the only thing close to "Business attire" I own would be my woolworths uniform...

QF function invite

There was one in BNE a few weeks ago. I did not attend.

I'm tempted to say that I'll pay for a one-way taxi fare as long as you do go in your Woolworths uniform. (pics required). ;-) DTNKWYA Do they not know who you are?

You know I read that stuff about sharing important developments for the next year and read that as "sales pitch for Qantas Cash" and whatever else they want to suck us into. Yes, I'm a cynic.

of course it's nice to be invited to a 'do and all, but I bet FT DO's are way better!! (and I send my best wishes to QF WP :) )

What QFF status do you have?

Me? WP. Have 2500SCs.

Jorgen Apr 3, 2013 9:38 pm

So that's the reward for getting 2500 SCs? Some soggy canapes, a couple of glasses of wine and a chance to listen to the sub-VP of something drone on about the airline for twenty minutes? Sounds fab. :)

RichardMEL Apr 3, 2013 11:32 pm

oh I'm booking 7 return flights to CBR now to get to the 2500.... :D

QF does seem to do some data mining now on QFF. I didn't credit to QFF for a while, and then had 1700 SCs in a month; didn't credit anything for next 2 months. After that drought, QF has sent several special offers to entice me back (nothing too exciting, the best is double SCs).

I'll be there tonight. Looking forward to meeting any other FTers (or AFFers) attending.

Just wondering what the information was they gave you? Or would you have to kill me ;)
