The Curtain is there to stop Economy passengers sneaking into the Business Class.I was thinking about a Seinfeld Episode where Elaine did the same thing.

They don't always close it though, my last two flights on a 737 they left the curtain open. Nobody came through from Y though (toilet at the front can be tricky to find if it's the first time you're looking for it)

As a guy, it can also be tricky to use if you are tall.

I'm not 6 foot, but still find it rather restrictive... and the irony is that some people choose to fly business class because they need/want more space.

There's always the sitzpinkler method.

Anyone else sense the irony in the posts protesting about the lack of privacy, when the first pic shows a passember seated in the J cabin published without their permission?

Those plastic-looking dividers look awful, IMO. I would much prefer a curtain or standard hard plastic divider. And having no aisle curtain is just ridiculous.

Qantas does some great things like the F lounges but crazy things which disappoint their customers not least of which their loyal ones. This 737 refit is as crazy as the A380 refit.

They seem in somewhat of a frenzy to bring their international and domestic service levels to Emirates standards......... a few pieces of disgraceful lettuce for a J class salad is embarrassing frankly and they should be ashamed as well as just rock melon for fresh fruit choice on a 9k J ticket is equally arrogant.

I hauled up the CSM on a recent JNB-SYD in J and told him as much-funnily he totally agreed. Currently QF cannot compete with EK in lots of areas as far as product / food go. They need to re think that AND try asking customers their opinion of proposed 'upgrades' and 'enhancements'.

Thank God MH and QR will soon be OW members...this may give a further kick in the derriere to Qantas to lift their game relative to premium fares they charge in comparison.
