QF Grace Status Credits?
 

Hi All,

I am currently a QF silver and will be 10 points short of becoming a SG by the end of January. Due to fly to LAX in the first week of February and would like to use the lounge/SG privileges.

Do you guys know if QF is sometimes flexible in providing a grace upgrade to SG?

AFAIK they are never flexible in this.

They may Status match, and often "comp" an existing status but other than that you need to earn 700 SC's.

I presume you have your 4 flights - 10 SC's in that time should be quite inexpensive to garner when you consider the benefits of Sapphire .

Thanks Serfty, Yes, I have more than required 4 flights. Just 10 SC's short and do not have time to do a mileage run to CBR.

How can one not have time for a SC run? :-) A SYD-CBR run takes less than half a day. Can even be done in an evening. Seems like a shame to let 10 SC get in the way of Gold.

You only need 10 SC so if you have formed the opinion that a SYD-CBR-SYD giving you 710 SC and a year (plus probably 3 months extra) QP is not value for money then perhaps go down cheaply on Murrays Coaches and just fly back to SYD to get you to 700 SC.

If time is, in fact, the main constraint you might also like to read this thread ;)
