[PREM FARE GONE] *A: UK - Tokyo NH/LH/LX £1390rt

Works from *A regional airports in UK (not London). Outbound via FRA/DUS/MUC/ZRH with LX/NH/LH. For the return, the only way to get home at the £1390 price is to Do a 2-stop via ICN. I tried many different dates but couldn’t find TYO-EU direct at the good price but maybe someone here can.

Dates are Oct 2019 - June 2020.

example from BHX here: BHX-HND

That's an awesome fare. Looks like most options involve airport change or overnight in SEL so to make the most of it you can do a stopover in Seoul for a few days on the way back. (for the extra £75)

Does this also work with destinations other than SEL as Stopover?

SEL is the fare break point, so no charge to “stop over” there.
The only place the fare can stop over is in the three Japanese ports posted in the routing rules.

I am not proficient enough to understand the fare rules quoted in this, could someone please explain the routing rules 'map constructed left to right and right to left'?

What is a fare break point? difference with stopover?

I am currently planning a trip to TYO and HKT next Feb, so if its possible to make the fare break point BKK instead would be really great...
I have tried on ITA Matrix but can't get anything other than SEL to work...grrrr

I think he meant that even though the fare is to various Japanese cities, it especially requires a stop (temporary or otherwise) in SEL. If you don't then the search engine will find an alternative fare.

According to the fare routing and the rules governing stopovers, you can have a stopover in Asia at the cities in red
BHX-LH-CGN/DUS/FRA/GVA/MUC/VIE/ZRH-CGN/DUS/FRA/GVA/MUC/VIE/ZRH-NGO/OSA/SEL/TYO-BR/CI/KE/LH/NH/OZ/PR/UA-SEL

Consider the OP's itinerary in terms of the fare components, as the fare covers BHX-SEL, the fare break point takes place in SEL, even if travel itself does not stop at Seoul.
Outbound -> BHX-FRA-HND//HND-GMP
Return -> ICN-FRA-BHX

You can see this in action on ITA matrix, where the outbound has priced in the 75GBP stopover fee
Fare for 1 adult
Fare 1: Carrier LH PNC6ZGB BHX to SEL (rules)
Passenger type ADT, round trip fare, booking code P
Covers BHX-MUC (Business), MUC-HND (Business), HND-GMP (Business)
€476.07
Fare 2: Carrier LH PNC6ZGB SEL to BHX (rules)
Passenger type ADT, round trip fare, booking code P
Covers ICN-FRA (Business), FRA-BHX (Business)
€392.45

The solution to your conundrum is either
a) open jaw BHX-SEL//HKT-BHX + one-way SEL-HKT ticket
b) BHX-SEL + SEL/TYO-HKT return ticket
c) use an Asian carrier that serves Europe and has a base in Japan / SE Asia for an easy stopover - NH,SQ,TG spring to mind, prob not cheap

Great fare.
I live in Kansai area, by from the uk. I’m wondering if I can use this to fly out to KIX/UKB/ITM and then back ~3-6 months later? (Use dome avios to fly home first on a oneway)

Yeah you can. As discussed above you need to at least transit through ICN.

A better idea may be to do UK-KIX then have a holiday at some point to ICN then KIX-UK. Example

Can anyone help in getting a route that works to NGO over the April bank holiday? I can get BHX - NRT, but NGO seems to increase the price quite a lot. (Ideally using ANA or Swiss)

Thanks for the hint, works to GMP as well.
You can also book directly on the LH website by selecting "LH Group" operated flights. Make sure to select LH Group op. flight numbers.
