Would a keychain-size mace spray even be effective? I’m reminded of the old saying among gun owners; if you’re going to shoot a perp, don’t do it with a .22 because you’ll just tick them off even more.

There's your answer. Probably don't even need the label unless the original container stands out in some way.

I've only had my Kippie bag examined in the smallest airports (CWA does it every time). ORD, on the other hand, could care less.
