Don't have stomach problems aloft. This article speaks for itself.

The TSA and your friendly federal government thug force at work again... Making felons of decent, law abiding citizens everywhere.
After all, a man who's about to puke all over people or crap his pants should be forced to do so in public, after having the nerve to only purchase a coach class ticket. |
Pull the damn cart out of the aisle and back to the galley when there's a bathroom emergency, lazy Delta FA's, and let the guy through. I am sorry to hear about the guy being ARRESTED AND STUCK IN JAIL FOR TWO DAYS, but I think the FA's who refused to give him passage to the toilets in the back of the plane should be investigated, reprimanded and retrained.
The whole operation (pull back to the galley, let the guy by, return to original spot and continue service) might have taken 30 seconds on a 3-hour flight. Inexcusable. |
Here's another innocent American with a felony arrest record because nobody connected in any way with civil aviation CAN THINK!
On a much lighter note: "You didn't throw up in front of Dean Wormer. You threw up ON Dean Wormer!" |
Never thought I'd say this but I hope to see litigation against Delta.

Appaently this topic got worked over pretty thoroughly about a week ago in the Newstand Forum.
Here's the most interesting bit of info for this Forum: It's all TSA's fault. http://blogs.wsj.com/middleseat/2009...ing-tsa-rules/ and NYC96 sez:We were especially intrigued by the sentence stating that FAA policy requires passengers to use the restroom in their seating class. We emailed the FAA to find out whether that’s true, and it doesn’t seem to be. FAA spokeswoman Alison Duquette wrote back, “that is not part of any FAA safety regulation. That’s airline policy and they probably base it on a TSA security regulation that prohibits people from congregating in one spot.” We asked Delta to find out whether that is the carrier’s actual policy and will update this item when we hear. But David Castelveter, spokesman for the Air Transport Association, a commercial aviation trade group, told us in an e-mail that he is “not aware of it being a Federal rule/law/policy. Most carriers do reserve the respective restroom(s) for the passenger traveling in that cabin, i.e., first-class passengers have a first-class cabin restroom. Cabin crews, however, reserve the right to waive those rules if deemed necessary and/or appropriate.” UPDATE: Delta spokesman Kent Landers just wrote us, saying “Delta follows regulations that limit lavatory use to the customer’s class of service on any international flight operating into the United States. This is tied to a TSA security directive Shame on TSRon's pals and the Delta flight staff. (The captain intervened and let him use the business class loo.) |
Interesting.
If that was me, I would of done the same thing that the guy did and if I got arrested, I would sue the pants off of Delta. He could of just poop'd between Y and C... |
running ;) thread from last week over here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/newss...ta-flight.html

What does TSA have to do with that ? Once crew reported the incident they had to arrest the guy.
Stupidity on the FA's part, I'd say. Don't feel like moving the cart ? That's fine; let the man use the J bathroom. No biggie. Besides, I've practically never seen that particular regulation enforced. |
