Usually a hole is punched and/or a stupid red (how appropriate) stamp is used.

Form over function. AKA "administrative convenience"

Is the SSSS tracked electronically or is it just a stamp/handwritten mark on the boarding pass? I thought they just scribbled it on my BP. In that case, I don't see why you couldn't just ask the GA for a new one and say you lost it (as previously mentioned in this thread)...

apparently it depends. mine printed right onto the BP on it's own...i've heard that people have had TAs write it as well.

If you are a haraSSSSee, then SSSS appears on your BP and it will remain there even if you reprint your BP or change your seat and reprint your BP. The GA/airline employee has to deselect you from this scummy, disgusting, un-American harassment and then reprint your BP for it to no longer have those Scarlet (black, really) Letters of sick shame.

The TSA should be destroyed for the disgusting, un-American agency that it is, and its leaders should be caned and jailed for the scum that they are.
