Do any airlines still offer "small package" service between two airports?

By the way, FedEx does indeed offer Sunday delivery. In fact, they offer 24/7 delivery. It's just that the price might make you blanche.
I had to use a service like United Cargo SPD to send a friend's passport after she left it on her desk before an international trip. As stated, for domestic trips you can travel without ID. For international, you really do need that passport (or need to replace a lost/stolen one promptly). Charles |

If they simply dont talk in line, cant the one with the ID just take all the luggage and belongings of the SSSS'd person so they can walk through with just their boarding pass, and save loads of time, since the TSAholes wont be searching any luggage?

Hmmm, now I'm curious, if your traveling with a SSSS at other airports, and your not a SSSS yourself, they still give you, as a none SSSS, a patdown and go through your stuff simply because your traveling with them, or had contact?

So thanks for the advice. I checked her bag in my name, and they did give her the SSSS but it went really smooth. When I told the story to a few people at work, they were all shocked it was so easy to fly with no ID. I have to say I was a little shocked too. The advice also helped releive her stress levels on the vacation. I only joined FT a few months ago, but I've been lurking for over a year. I just assured her, these people are experts and know what they're talkkinng about.

I believe that's only with minors and I'm guessing that Mr 1c is not a minor.
I'm glad the OP got through with minimal hassle. |

In answer to your question, I would think that if a TSO observed 2 pax transferring bags during or directly before the screening and IF (and this is a huge IF) the TSO understood the (admittedly poor) rationale for SSSS, the TSO would/should insist that at least the transferred bags and perhaps the transferee pax go through the full SSSS rigmarole. It's not like TSA management anywhere I've been discourages arbitrary "conservative" decisions by individual TSO's. Transfer the bags out of sight and there is no way I've ever experienced that non-SSSS pax get an SSSS search just because the travel companion is SSSS. |
