Nope i dontthink this is gonna happen here in the EU, they already had big problems with the EU parlament en several member state parlement about sharing info with the USA.And also most people in europe understand that no fly lists and TSA etc doesnt help that much against terrorism anyway most of us europeans dont wanna give up all our privacy for so called security.

That is, I have serious doubts that the EU will necessarily "stick to their guns" on much of anything in the "security" area. Bank and credit card data? They just hand it over or get firms with a nexus in the US to do it. Immigration data? Ooops, convenient open door for the NSA. Passports? Revise their passports to satisfy "international" "security needs", even if it involves invalidating the overwhelming majority of unexpired passports of nationals before the expiration date. |
