Ads to appear in security trays.

To enhance the TSA experience, travellers will now be subjected to ads at security checkpoints:

A delightful experience gets even better...

Does anyone else besides me, want to take up a collection and get some ad space for Kip Hawley's mental capacity?

SNA_Flyer Jan 13, 2007 5:49 am

It's already happening at LAX (T4 at least).

Kip has no mental capacity.

It's been at LAX for months now... and it doesn't work. Of all the times I've flown ex-LAX, and the couple times I even made a conscious effort to remember the product to share on FT, I still have no idea what the ads are for :D

EDIT: Ah yes, I started a thread on Aug 29, 2006 over this

Same here-it wasn't until I saw the articles in the paper this week that I found out what these ads had been for all along. (I really, REALLY hope one of the ad execs from that company is reading this so he/she can see how well spent those ad dollars were!)

Yeah, I can't even recall what it was either. The ads are totally working. ;)

Boycott the companies for sponsoring the war on liquids?

sonofzeus Jan 16, 2007 9:34 am

I've discussed this with a seasoned advertising exec. She suggested this product for this medium.

If only I could remember who they were ;) .

I'm waiting to see ads like:

"Lost your water bottle? 1/2 off bottled water at Bob's gift shop on concourse D."

I just hope I don't see pharmaceutical ads for genital warts, ED, or hemmoroids.

I'd like to see an attorney buy some space to advertise his/her specialty of the ease of attaining concealed weapons permits.

Fun!

Given their ubiquitous presence on television, I fully expect to see ads for Cialis and Viagra. :)

I'd like to buy some ad space.

Who's with me?

Its Going Nationwide

According to the USA Today

WASHINGTON — Airline passengers could start seeing more ads in an unusual place: the bottoms of the plastic bins that hold their shoes, cellphones and jackets at checkpoints.
The Transportation Security Administration says it will allow airports nationwide to begin selling ads in the plastic bins. The program aims to upgrade equipment at airport checkpoints at no cost to the federal government, TSA spokeswoman Sterling Payne said.
