At SEA this early evening: 4 oz. saline solution in a baggie was wrinkle-nosed by a TSA lady, who called to a supervisor: "Saline solution, 4 ounces?"

The supervisor said, "It's OK. Don't you remember the briefing this morning?"

To which the TSA lady shrugged.

So the supervisor said, "You slept through the briefing again, eh?"

And the TSA lady laughed and said, "Yes...."

And as a result, I felt soooooooo much safer in SEA this early evening.

I'm surprised the supervisor would have made that comment about sleeping during the briefing in front of the public. Talk about airing your dirty laundry, especially in front of this crowd.

And, if it was "only a joke" as some TSA apologists are sure to point out, should the TSO even be making such a joke? Heck, we're outright told that we cannot "make jokes" at the checkpoint--at least not security-related ones--so why should the TSA get away with the same?

Can't. The TSA supervisor didn't even chastise her a little. It literally was one big joke.

Of course, if I had joined in and said,"hmmm...maybe I'll sleep in on my next terrorist planning session! Har, har!" I would still be in detention today.
