Don't flush an iPod or you're really in for it

Found this on Slashdot this morning.

The original article: http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/...949730&k=28503

Here's the account from the person it happened to. Apparently he is a World of Warcraft player going to visit someone he met online.

Gotta love how this guy was treated.

The insanity has invaded Canada.

Just saw there was a duplicate thread on this. Didn't come up on my initial searches. So mods, feel free to close this.

If the dialog is accurate, I'd bet he was treated a lot better in Canada than he would've been in the US. They actually apologized to him. When does that ever happen here?

Here's the other thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=595030

The most disturbing part was the customs official at the end reportedly stating he gets to decide what comes into the country irrespective of the legal status of the item.
