Can't wait to see the thread topics next week. ;)

We've already gotten to diapers, for babies and adults. :D Hide tootpaste in there.

TSA: "What's this"?
Pax: "My diaper"
TSA: "How many do you need?"
Pax: "I don't know, but better safe than sorry."
TSA: "What's in this diaper?"
Pax: "SSI. And you don't want to know." :D

They're inexpensive.

They are individually wrapped for one-use only. Just wet them and you're ready to brush. I take them on mileage runs when I carry minimal stuff.

Now I just need to get a prescription label on my shaving cream and anti-perspirant.

I just pick them up from the SAS CPH bathrooms. :o Or at least that is where I got my first ones. :D

Oral-B has a product called Brush-Ups

http://www.oralb.com/products/produc...o&pid=brushups

While not exaclty ideal for regular dental hygeine, I use them as my in-flight toothbrush on long-haul flights. Much easier as I don't actually need to get to the toilet sink to use them.

I'd get an actual prescription not just a note.

As I have stated in other threads, even OTC items can be prescribed.

Make sure you have the pharmacy attach their label to the item and bring with you the paperwork the pharmacy gives you.

Call over the airport police if they try to deny you or confiscate your prescribed item. This is a crime in most jurisdictions.

The TSA has overreacted and so must we.

Pre-pasted toothbrushes

Speaking of toothbrushes that have powdered toothpaste on them....I fly on business a lot. My daughter has braces and I get her supplies from an online merchant called dentakit.com. They have a few different types of pre-pasted disposable toothbrushes. I've been buying supplies for my daugther from them for a few years and they have nice products and fast shipping. I just recently took a trip and took some of these brushes with me, no problem. So yeah, they do pass security. I looked at the wrapper and they do have SLS in them.

Excellent link! This company is on the ball.

wow, the ad i got was for an italian toothpaste mfr. - now that's a waste of advertising euros!

Shipping is $5.20 for UPS Ground
California tax is $1.13

So, $.13/each for the minimum buy of 144

What they need to create is gum filled with toothpaste, so you can just apply it directly to the toothbrush

The applications are endless, hair gel, cough syrup, etc ;)

Baggies and toothpaste

Rather than spend money of pre-pasted toothbrushes, why not just put a small amt. of toothpaste in small baggies spread around your carryon - would that be detected?

gnaget Aug 21, 2006 12:22 pm

The $0.09 brushes are "Prepasted with a non-fluoride, mint-flavored paste "
No thanks.

I "pre-pasted" my normal toothbrush for a trip last week. You can and want to do this so that there isn't a glob on top. I also use one of those caps that you get in the United amenity kits.

I also "concealed" small single use portions. Not going to disclose how and where since the enemy might be lurking.

;) Although I wouldn't use a "baggie".
