I think I saw that in a Hitchcock movie. Dawn, of course, was scared out of her mind when thousands of sparrows flew straight at her.

(One of the sparrows had an air marshal on him. Let me tell you -- that was one big mother of a sparrow!)

I have FT tags on my laptop, totes & luggage. For those who haven't seen them, they're these bright yellow long plastic tags.

Oh, I know. And I've even said so on a couple occasions. But, like many here, I think she sometimes takes it all a little seriously, and makes the attacks a bit personal, versus debating the ideas. I prefer to try and keep things on the light side :)

Slightly off-topic.

I just read the FAM forums. Man, those folks hate us. Certainly can't understand why. ;)

Anyway, the majority of frequent flyers, just like the majority of TSA'ers, are good people that really do care. Not all of us are full of ourselves. As a matter of fact, allow me to say the JFK TSA'ers are always professional; especially the United TSA'ers.

Some Americans have a problem with authority. It's not really the TSA, but it's the authority the TSA has. And as we all know, someone with authority can do all sorts of damage (real or imagined).

Years ago I worked for Macy*s. If a customer went upstairs with a problem, I was the person that always gave the customer what they wanted. Many of those customers expected an argument. They never got it.

This same customer now approaches the TSA the same way I'm sorry to say.

My advice to all, leave the chip off your should before you leave for your trip or to work. It will make your trip/day enjoyable.

Not all FAMs hate FF just like not all FF hate FAMs. The problem is that too many times it is easy to label a group based off the bad encounter with one of its members. I bet that most people on this forum have been guilty of this at one time or another. It happens. Then you just step back, take a deep breath and re-evaluate.

If traveling thru RDU....

terminal "A" 2nd shift. Look for the tall, brown haired, blue-eyed 40 something with a go-t. Tell him you're from FT, he'll know what to do. ;)

dhammer53 Aug 28, 2004 11:56 pm

So you're suggesting that I remove my yellow FT luggage tag? :p

I used to work Terminal A. I enjoyed Terminal B more though.
