Wow....as a soon to be ex screener (moving home to Orlando to take another job) I do have to agree that respect is a two way street. When someone fails in offering common respect, they do a disservice to everyone in their profession.

Now, now, let's be fair to Kenny-boy. After all, I did ask him to come up with some better insults. He failed to do so, but then again, he's also failed to refute my statements that much of the harassment at airports is stupid and un-American.

Who can really say why the only things that our boy Kenny can come up with are "huh huh huh, you're from Kentucky" or "huh huh huh we have to look like we're doing something" or "huh huh huh you're a whiner"? Possible explanations may include parental/spousal/clergical/classmate abuse, being dropped on his head as a child, or perhaps some ongoing substance abuse. It's really likely that we'll never know.

Perhaps Kenny's school (if he even attended) never taught him the tougher subjects like Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Material Science, Probability and Statistics, or Engineering. Judging from his posts, subjects like Subtraction: Addition's Tricky Friend gave him a lot of difficulty.

Let's not try to deter Kenny from posting. Every time I read some of his diatribe, I am reminded of that scene from Vacation where Chevy Chase is talking to the mechanics who have just "fixed" his car:

Mechanic: "Ain't never seen anyone so @#$%-all stupid as you driving off that road. You musta got manure for your brains."

Clark: "Yeah, well, we're from out of town."

Getting back on topic, we don't need to be harassing passengers in the disgustingly un-American manner that we do currently. De-shoeing people is simply for show - shoes are not the only place that explosives can be hidden and harassing millions on the small chance that a hijacker will attempt to repeat Richard Reid's stupidity instead of hiding their explosives elsewhere is laughable.

Lucky guy, I've been putting out resumes for six months now. Job market sucks around here. Thank god I'm back to full-time classes in September and only have to do this job part-time.

Just for the record, could we use another name for Kenny instead of Kenny, cuz that's my name as well. I don't want my fellow screeners and comrades' getting online and thinking it's me causin all the hussfuss. Spiff is correct in the Deshoeing problem. Too many of our airports have this power issue where they feel they have to prove they are in control by forcing people to remove shoes. At my airport we only suggest that they be removed so you do not set off the metal detector and try to save you a few minutes from being hand-wanded but we have yet to this day forced anyone. And yes Ken needs to come up with better insults.

More whining from Spiff no solutions. Amazing that you continue to lack solutions. And just think someone form Kentucky telling me about being educated. That is rich. Continue to be a sheep when TSA screens you, but I guess its all right if the board here lets you whine as if your a tough guy. We all know you bow down to the TSA when they tell you to. I see it that its the TSA's job to police you when you are in the airport, and its my job to police your speech on the Flyer Talk board.

Keep looking, jobs ARE out there, and some really good ones too! I tried to get a transfer first, but they would not work with me, big surprise there. I need to move home due to my mothers health and so I took matters into my own hands and found something else that can really take off if I apply myself properly. So next month will find me back home and then I will have a few things to say about my former employer.

Sounds great, Cupcake. Your posts are so amusing that you're starting to give the Iraqi Information Minister a run for his money. Please continue your "policing" http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...um/biggrin.gif
