RESERVE powered by CLEAR’s passenger security screening appointment system

Clear powers the Reserve system, which is now available at 19 airports across North America and Europe.
…..
How far in advance you can reserve your security screening spot varies by airport. But at DEN, for instance, users can book their spots three days ahead of their flights.
The reservation system prompts you to enter information about where they’re flying, how many people are in your group, which airline you’re flying as well as your departure date and time. From there, you’ll get a QR code to show airport staff when you show up for your appointment.

How is this being funded? Is Clear paying for it (staffing) as advertisement for their regular paid service?

That said, I think there is going to be some push back. Why should some get to bypass the line by just making a free reservation? I already pay for PreCheck so not to deal the normal TSA nonsense. Note: paying for the Clear system so to bypass the TSA ID checker is different.

Clear has this reservation system in operation at some airports in Europe where paid Clear membership provides no advantage to access the security screening checkpoints and customer data use is subject to EU privacy rules.

I think it is loss leader so to sign people up for the full system. But in return they also get one's personal information.

DEN & multiple other airports,Reserve: Schedule general security screening only
DEN Reserve | Denver International Airport (flydenver.com)
As crazy as the crowds have been @ DEN recently, I just stumbled on this and wondered if any of you have feed back.
TIA,

YVR has a similar program. Good for the general public, but PreCheck and CLEAR are still going to be better options if you have them.

I do have Precheck, but will be flying internationally out of an A gate next week. I'll also be checking my bag. I can use the bridge (where the "Reserve" service is provided) and avoid the DEN trains. Last month I was in the Precheck queue at DEN for over 30 minutes. I may just give "Reserve" a try. I'll report back.

I used it at FCO this summer. It might've saved us a handful of minutes (granted, it was a Wednesday evening).
No way would I use it since I already have Pre-Check--unless you're going through security with literally just the items in your pockets or a carry-on with no electronics or toiletries.
