Taking bulk Candy through TSA

Hi Everyon, I'm flying out of EWR next week to LHR connecting to BOM. I wanted to bring a Jelly Belly candy - Jelly beans a 3lbs sealed jar from Costco, will I have any issues with the TSA tampering with a sealed jar?

It's not tampering, it's inspection for your safety - just make sure they change their gloves and use a fresh pair from the box, not the pocket job.

Everybody has problems with "tampering". Nobody should have problems with a lawful inspection. Which one are you talking about?

God the responses you're getting are ridiculous but yes, it could happen, but hopefully won't. Especially with trace detection if they're really worried about explosives, I imagine your odds are pretty good.

The real question is which one will a particular TSO at a particular checkpoint on a particular day choose to engage in?

Yes, you can take candy through TSA.
As long as you have enough to share with them.
