Did you comply ? What reason did the FA give for the 'demand'.

The FA said it was "offensive" (I guess in her mind the aircraft was in some sort of peril). I think I just opened up an application, which is probably what I was in the processing of doing anyway when the FA came by with the drink cart. Nothing ever came of it after she continued the drink service. Still ticked me off though...

Yes, but I will have the photo for my next flight. Cue the evil, maniacal laughter!:D

Or maybe because it was a CO jet. :D

Brick Apr 22, 2011 3:46 pm

It was in 2008, well before any CO/UA merger talk!

QL

That's probably how they're going to justify the whole affair. Though if they had been NON "middle-eastern-looking" this probably wouldn't have happened at all.

Horrors! Wonder what she would have done if there was a picture of an airplane on the in-flight magazine?

There's a link in the other thread about it in this forum that indicated they were mid eastern. It's probably a good bet that was a major part of the reason, not that they were taking pictures.

Taking pictures is fine, but a mideastern person taking pictures requires the plane to be empied and swept.

Flying while brown really has to stop!!!

The report I initially read indicated only that 3 people had been taken off, questioned & released. I'm glad to see that the whiner was equally inconvenienced for a change. ^

There has to be some penalty for this BS "see something, say something," particularly when, apparently, the only mistake the pax in question made was Flying While Looking Muslim.

Ridiculous and disgusting. I hope they sue the living carp out of UA.

Exactly. Kudos for whomever made the decision to kick Whiner's butt off the plane along with those he/she was trying to get kicked off. I hope they were all on the same flight out just to give WhineyPassenger more of the awkward! :D

SWCPHX Apr 22, 2011 5:57 pm

Maybe they were taking photos to post on Top Flyer! :D

Amen to that ^ and wouldn't it be a hoot if the "suspicious pax" were Jewish and Mr. Peepants didn't get the memo? ;)
