Unfortunately, it is going to be a long time for that viewpoint within the TSA to change. I have said until I am blue in the face that the TSA was stupid to consider the traveling public the threat instead of an ally in the fight against terrorism.

Additionally, I have said on this forum many times the TSA sees every American citizen as a potential terrorist and none of our local TSA posters has denied this is the case nor have they said that perspective should change. They are convinced that view everyone with suspicion is the best way to find a needle in a haystack.

No, actually, it is the worst way, but the arrogance at the TSA is enough to convince them they are correct, the facts be damned.
