Good thing I didn't get pulled over on that drive home, huh?

:mad::mad::mad:

I am almost speechless, but sadly I can believe it happened. It is almost the bizarro version of the TDCs who refuse to understand that there are adults who do not hold driving permits, but your situation was infinitely worse.

Hmm, really? Source please to go along with this accusation.

Oh, I use exactly the same metric TSA does to determine less than 3% opt-out of the NoS....

Please tell me you filed a report with the ACTUAL police! If a TSA screener (they are *NOT* officers, and even "agent" is pushing it IMO!) stole your license from you, that is IIRC legally actionable - they have NO authority to do that!

It's Logan, which is pretty much as lost of a cause as you can get, so I didn't really bother. It's not like it was going to get my license back, it's not like I wouldn't have had one heck of a story for the cops if I had been pulled over, and I really didn't believe it would go anywhere. The port police in Boston are, uh, not friendly people. I can tell you all about one of them pointing his automatic weapon at a friend's guide dog, or about telling someone in a wheelchair that she had to walk or would be arrested (proved to be bluster, but still.)

In other words, I knew I wouldn't win that fight, and the TSA's condescending response about how the TSA agent thought he was enforcing "local laws" was pretty much proof that there are better trees for me to be barking up.
