If the blog was the only place the TSA was stonewalling then I could blame Blogger Bob for the silence, but after waiting a year and a half for a simple FOIA request*, watching Gale refuse to give the SOP to Congress, and the many hiding behind the "employee privacy" illusion, I have to conclude the problem is way over Blogger Bob's head.

We should fire the people above Blogger Bob that won't allow him to answer the questions.

*The FOIA request I made over a year ago was to track a complaint I filed with the TSA. The request included the TSA's Hotline control number. The number appears to be a combination of the month and an individual document number. With that number the document should be very easy to track and find. So far nothing.

How can the image on the display be rationally classified as sensitive? Most checkpoints have the screens visible to everyone walking past.

I'm going to try to borrow a MB Air -- several friends own them -- take it to a friend at a local hotel with an x-ray machine, run it through, photograph it, and post it the image all over the internet.

Just do a Google image search for "Xray Macbook Air"

and you will see what the TSA doesn't want you to see.

Oh, no! Don't you realize that terrorists can see this now, too? They have access to Flyertalk, ya know. Don't you want us to be safe? That image is sensitive security information for a reason. It's probably even higher than tippity-top secret. In fact, even putting your own computer through an x-ray machine and circulating the image is against the law -- or should be. :p

Of course he could not show the image anymore than a KFC executive would be able to give out the secret recipe. (chicken, grease, salt)

Herr Commandant Blogdad Bob has found a unique new way to censor posts. He censors my comments when the post is young, but after 30 or 40 comments rack up he allows the exact same comment through. He just wants to bury me.

And he hates it when I refer to his WBI machines as child porn machines.

Ask a smurf for a test strip and find out :p

I'll make sure to do that when I am at the airport tomorrow... We'll see what kind of looks I get:D

If the strip is positive, does that mean I can call a LEO and have the TSO arrested and declared a terrorist?

Noticed that as well. He's on a roll right now and approving posts nearly real time. Some were pretty snarky.

You should contact Epic or some other group seeing if they can help with your missing FIOA.

oddly enough, that is not what the computer looks like on our x-ray. Sure all the parts are there, but it doesn't look like that.

That's a normal macbook, not a macbook air. Since no one is saying what's really different I always thought it had to do with the appearance of the steady state drive, but I have no clue.

I figured somehow the pieces made a nice gun shape.
