Spirit Miles Codes?
I might be booking my first ever Spirit Airlines flight online tonight and uh, kinda scared. I'm flying on Spirit? Ohhhhh boy. haha.
So I checked RetailMeNot.com and a bunch of people had posted random string promo codes for a bonus 2500 miles... none of which seemed to work, at least for my flight. Anyone know any current ones or where they came from?
I would bet one time codes emailed out to people and some of them posted them and a single person used each but not sure, anyone have one personally I can try or know any benefits/bonuses I should take advantage of before booking/flying?
Thanks!

perhaps your answer
I beleive those codes are one-time use 2500 miles coupon codes given out during flight if you sign up for the Spirit Airlines credit card. Codes are redeemable at www.spirit.com/2500 limit of one per account. The variables in the string seem to match up ( I checked them out on Retailmenot)
I do not think there are any current bonus miles incentives going on for Spirit bookings at the moment, just the usual discounts in the emails they send out regularly.

On second note, I used that link and entered one of the codes from RetailMeNot and it APPEARED to have worked. Guess I'll know for sure in 45 days. Thanks!

You just missed this one:
Your $50 Off* Coupon!
Use Promo Code "50OFF" To Save On Your Next Flight!
To receive $50 off* your next roundtrip purchase, just enter 50OFF in the promotion code box when booking a qualifying flight. All flights must be booked by 11:59 PM ET on April 2, 2012 for travel starting from April 10, 2012 through May 22, 2012.
Coupon usage excludes travel into or out of the following markets:
Myrtle Beach, Boston, Cancun
Coupon usage also excludes travel between the following (in both directions):
Atlantic City to/from Fort Myers, Atlantic City to/from Orlando, Chicago to/from Fort Myers, Chicago to/from Dallas/Fort Worth, Dallas/Fort Worth to/from LaGuardia, Detroit to/from Atlanta, Detroit to/from Las Vegas
...but it comes out all the time, so if you can wait, it will probably be back.
....and todays promo was:
http://marketing.spirit.com/traveldeals/air.php?s=890
You get their emails, right? You're in the Spirit Club? It's pretty lame, your miles expire in 3 months with no addige (I just invented a word?), and without their credit card your redemptions levels are stupid, but if you're going to book with them anyway you can join it and you'll get emails with promos and stuff.
Also of note: there's offers out there for many more miles for getting the credit card, I already had a cc, but I did the app for the 2500 on the plane anyway - it was 2500 whether you get the card or not, so it worked for me.

I just signed up to get their emails so I hadnt gotten any, but I did see the 50 off on their website. And 35 off too... lol, stupid when they have a 50 one. When I FIRST looked up flights the other day they had it and it was cheap and then FREE, except for what they called 60 bucks in taxes, but I needed to double check a couple of things first. i.e. their crazy bag fees. By the time I determined this was still the best deal, they still had 50 Off but the actual rates had jacked up. Though today they went back down... can now get a similar flight for 78 bucks, eh only adds 18, ok cool.
The miles expire in 3 months? STUPID, why did I just bother getting 2500 miles free then, can I get anywhere discounted/free with that? Definitely dont plan to fly them that often, ha

You might enjoy the thread on Spirit bags then:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/other...-envelope.html
also, to keep miles active buy some crap from the mall, but don't do it last minute since it takes about 3 months to post the mall-miles and if you're looking to save it last minute it won't work:

Got Hertz Gold? Here's 5k Spirit....
http://marketing.spirit.com/hertz/
It takes like 2 months for miles to post from promos. Your miles usually expire on the last day of the month they are due to expire but you will need to call them to verify this.
They really make life difficult if you don't have the CC. For 2500 you don't get anything without the CC. JUst check out the redemption page:
http://3freeflights.com/awards/awards.php
redemptions start at 10k for no CC.
And you found a $0 airfare and didn't post that either ?
!!

Hey thanks! Well it wasn't technically free, it still costs $60 after taxes from the government according to Spirit... and its now only $78 after taxes so close to free, but its only LAX to Vegas, $60 and $78 isnt bad but $80 flights RT to Vegas are common on virtually all airlines so it seemed like an itsy bitsy tiny baby deal to me, hardly worth the effort to save 10 bucks
