Car rental -> Hotel/airline status match?
 

Apologies if this has been asked before (I tried searching- couldn't see anything obvious)...

I'm wondering if there are any hotel chains or airlines that will status match against car rental companies?

I carry these tiers currently:

• Avis President's Club
• Hertz President's Circle
• Sixt Platinum
• National Executive Elite

... simply because they all status match one another.

I'm wondering if it's possible to "break out" of the car rental match, and into another type of loyalty program - say, airline or hotel.

Would be interested to see how far the status match chain can go. I've seen Sixt Platinum match against a German airline, but nothing the other way around.

Never heard of it and I doubt it because they aren't related markets or competitors. You could try a challenge for a hotel or airline.
