Enterprise Plus

Enterprise now has 'Enterprise Plus' program for business travelers. You just have to sign up. There are no points, but there is a 'special' lane in some airports (MSP for sure) for 'Enterprise Plus' renters only. Ma and Pa Kettles are not supposed to be in the lane and it seemed quicker, at least when the lane is staffed.

At last, finally a nod of some sort to business travellers!!

Bump.

Any more feedback on this program? A counter agent tried to get me to join yesterday and I looked on the website and frankly don't see much value in it, unless you frequently rent from busy airport locations, which I don't. (I frequently rent from Enterprise, but from smaller locations that don't seem to have any express-type counter).

One of the things the counter agent told me is that you get e-mails with discounts, and if you rent enough you get a coupon for a free rental.

Well, the discounts I get with the Entertainment Book codes (thanks, FT!) are pretty good to begin with. And I can't find any mention of free rentals on the Enterprise Plus FAQ's. So I'm a little ho-hum about signing up. Can anyone confirm whether or not you get free rentals through Enterprise Plus?

I got a free upgrade coupon for joining.

The bi-monthly e-mails that Enterprise sends out nearly always include a free upgrade coupon as it is, so why would I need to sign up for "Enterprise Plus"?

I guess what I find confusing is that the counter agent suggested to me that "Enterprise Plus" rewarded renters based on how often they rent from Enterprise (similar to the way you accumulate frequent flier miles, etc). However, I see no reference to this in the FAQ's.

Maybe they send you better coupon offers?? The e-mail offers that I get from Enterprise Plus are pretty much the same as the bi-monthy e-mails that you referenced, except I get them monthly.

I just rented at MCI last week as E+, and was treated no differently than any other renter. In fact, I didn't see any signage for an Enterprise Plus line or anything. So I'm with you - I'm not sure what the value of this program is.

The free upgrade coupon I received for joining Enterprise Plus says only valid on standard daily or weekly rates made in advance.May not be used in conjuction with any other coupon, offer or discount rate. Its totally worthless!

Enterprise Plus Cheats You

Enterprise are only pretending to have a loyalty program. They screw you. Registering is not enough to get point credit for your rentals. Hidden in the T&C's that nobody reads, there is a requirement to do an activation. Why would anybody hide that stupid extra step in T&C's except to cheat you out of the points that you wanted to accrue from first rental after registration? Like duh... why would you be registering supplying that number the next day for a rental? You do not learn about the sneaky extra step until your package arrives 6 weeks later not even in the immediate confirmation email you received after online registration. We were deprived of $1,200 spending points that fell between registration and activation date. Sure makes you wonder what other risks you are taking when renting from them!

I found out the same thing. After a few rentals and no credit I found out I had to sign up for the credits. However, when I did, I stopped getting cross credit at National for the enterprise rentals. I have since canceled my account, given up the few points I had earned and retroactively had them apply the rentals to my National history. They were nice about it, but I do not think this was revealed clearly or I would have not given up the National credit for my occasional Enterprise rental.

Now, to rent and get National credit, I have to log on at at www.enterprise.com/loyalty and choose the Emerald Club tab. Only a bit aggravating, and it seems to work fine.

How do you do the activation without waiting six weeks for the package?

isle-hawg Dec 30, 2014 2:30 pm

I was recently sent two free upgrade coupons for making their Gold level and have enough points to rent a car for ~week. So their is value in this program if you rent frequently from Enterprise. Also at some locations there is a dedicated counter that is usually quicker than the other lines. When I went to San Diego's location the bus from the airport was packed. When getting off the bus one of the agents asked if there were any Enterprise Plus members. I was the only one, and he took me straight to a car - did not even have to go to a counter. This was convenient, much like Avis and Hertz.

I just signed up. Is this activation process still valid? If so, how do I activate?

TheDapperDon Feb 22, 2015 10:56 am

I just signed up as well. Anything I should know?

vickh Mar 3, 2015 2:59 pm

TheDapperDon Mar 8, 2015 10:56 pm

I love National, but wanted to know if I was missing anything.
