Wow, I'm disappointed about no Freddie Awards! Last year, Alaska Airlines doubled the mileage earned for a couple months due winning the Freddies! I was hoping that would happen again this year. Those double miles counted towards status! So I got MVP and my husband got MVP Gold!

So it was definitely cool.

I do have to say that I'm a little :confused: how the Homewood Suites in Tampa could be the #14 hotel in the country though. ;)

I'm rather late hearing this shocking news. It is quite sad, after all the effort you've put forth to make it a success, to simply discontinue it. Do hope the Freddie's would ' come out of retirement ', and give the FF our voices back.

Basically there was a need that was met by the Freddie award.

Also, it was announced at StarMegaDo2 launch party that the "Frequent Travel Awards" (successor to Freddies?) will make its debut this November during the SMD2 tour, and then switch next April to the 4th Thurs of April each year (same date Freddies were always held). Details re: FTA can probably be obtained from tommy777.
