common courtesy

I would like to know is common courtesy to much to ask from the owner of FT??

Myself and I can only assume other moderators who have resigned lately have yet to even get a single thank you for all our time and effort we gave to aid the community.

Is it to much to expect a thank you? it appears that taking 2 minutes out of a busy schedule is not possible.

I guess I shall not be sitting by the letter box expecting my gold watch.

Dino, I am shocked that you didn't get a thank you note from Randy, he was most gracious to me when I left. I got to keep the keys to the Super Secret Star Chamber, the black helicopter, and the ninjas agreed to come by every other weekend to do yard work. I also got 2,000,000 starwood points, lifetime platinum in AA, DL, UA, HP , CO, 100 WN roundtrip certificates and 500 SWU's. I guess it's more of a toll to moderate OMNI.

Don't worry, I didn't get one either

I'm sorry you did not receive yours. I give myself permission to repost this post from Sept. 15 in the TalkTeam forum:

We certainly have been enriched by Jesus' voluntary contributions to FT. I tried several times to send message to him but get this:

jfe has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.

He continues on by supporting FlyerTalk with contributing posts and that adds value as well. Thanks Jesus."

I did try and send you a well-deserved thank you but got the above PM reject message and went ahead and posted my thoughts anyway. Apparently i did not connect when you might have lost viewing privileged in that forum and unfortunately 'assumed' that you had read my public thanks. I think the mods whom you have befriended, and there are many, will attest that this post actually does exist.

Whether in private or public, the efforts of our moderators are greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hey, no wonder I didn't get mine. I had to turn off PM's, since my mailbox capacity shrunk after I was no longer a mod.

I did ask for an increase in the box, because I knew this would happen, and had to clean all my PM's

The archived messages have been forwarded to Random House so they can be published into a book

Thanks, better late than never

I'm sorry that you feel ignored. I think what might have happened is that your abrupt resignation with no notice came when i was engaged in either some travel or other deadlines and while i know i knew of your resignation, apparently I overlooked the details of recognizing your particular contributions to the members of FlyerTalk. As you will note from the response i was able to supply jfe, it is certainly not my deliberate attempt to not recognize the efforts of our volunteers on FlyerTalk. For the record - thank you.

In case i have never expressed my gratitude and thanks to any moderator on FlyerTalk, I'd like to take this time to recognize your efforts to make FlyerTalk a more valuable resource to all members of this community. And as a member myself, i appreciate the extra time you make available to welcome and assist us online.
