Well, for the sake of argument - I have a complaint that is driving me bonkers.

Over the last couple of weeks I've been frustrated at my attempts to sign-on to my new premium account by an overly-aggresive ad for Marriott Rewards Visa, a big red banner add which leaps up & blocks your sign-on fields. You cant click your cursor into the fields, else it will go into the adds - can't tab your way in there either, as will hit a couple hundred other links before you finally get there.

So am left only with trying to carefully balance my cursor into the miniscule portion of the sign-in box remaining. And if it's completely covered, which it often is, then I just give up and surf FT not signed-in.

Bonkers & bad for my blood pressure! Would ask for a cheeky refund, but it's only what 3cents/day..

Oh man. That's highly annoying. :(

I just tried logging off and logging back on to see if I could suggest something, but it I wasn't getting any Marriott ads.

Randy, I have an annually renewing subscription to MileageManager at a cost that exceeds $12. Is that enough to merit Flyertalk Premium? I'm guessing the MM service costs less to deliver than a 12-month subscription to IF. I'll happily communicate with you privately to verify my identity. How 'bout it?

I've been reading the FlyerTalk website for quite sometime. I just accidentally stumbled over the FlyerTalk Premium thread. After reading the thread I signed up immediately.

I still am - following my cursor all over the page, trying to stop me logging into Premium. Presumably because I am UK,and you are US-we get different ads.

I just tried to sign up for FlyerTalk Premium and couldn't do it. I must have tried 10 different password combinations, and it rejected them all. Did anyone have this happen to them? Still haven't been able to sign up.

I don't know what page you are refering to but if you hold down shift whilst you press tab, the jumping works in the reverse order.

Does that help, i.e. does the link you want start from the end of the hundreds of other links, or is it in the middle of them all?

The only username password that you should use for this is your IF.com username password combination. No others will work.

Is this still happening to you? We don't have any Marriott ads running currently and that does not sound like behavior you should ever see on FT. If you are seeing this on other sites as well there is a very good chance that your computer has been infected with some sort of Spy/AdWare that is causing this, I am fairly certain that this is the case since there have been no other reports of this problem.

What about Awardplanner Customers?

Do we get a shot at Premium Flyertalk?

Tim, since I had not signed up for InsideFlyer before, I thought I would need a new password. I tried the username/passwork combination for FlyerTalk, and that didn't work either. To sign up for FlyerTalk Premium, don't you sign up for Inside Flyer and then get FlyerTalk Premium automatically?

Elli - InsideFlyer subscribers aren't automatically registered for FT Premium access. To gain the FT Premium benefits you have to go to this page and enter your InsideFlyer username and password in the corresponding fields.

Hope that helps clear things up a bit.

My original question was why I couldn't sign up for IF yesterday - it wouldn't accept a password. Anyway, I tried again today, picked a different user name and password, and was finally able to sign up for IF. Then it was no problem to sign up for FT Premium. Still don't know why it didn't work yesterday when I took exactly the same steps today. Anyway, problem solved.

Tried numerous times to subscribe on the IF site but keep getting "Page cannot be displayed" Anyone else have this problem?

JayBrian Dec 19, 2005 11:14 pm

I get the following message;

"This account has already been used for this offer and cannot be used again until it has been renewed. If this not correct please contact InsideFlyer customer service."

I know I renewed over a month ago.

Do I have to start the process from the beginning and choose a new name and password?
