Don't disagree with you here, always welcome new members, and hope they contribute to this online society.

My whole point is that all of the sudden, and old issue became solved at the suggestion of a newbie.

If that was a horrible statement in my behalf, I apologize, but I really don't see anything wrong with it.

I also think that the real problem is that sometimes people in different forums are openly treated with mistrust just because of their low post count. :mad:
Most people here however say that they don't care. Personally I don't care, too, because meanwhile I know the experts in the forums that I visit.

This is precisely why I read the post content and am not concerned with the number of posts a member has. Even some of us members with higher post counts, me included, are known to say something that we wish we could press backspace. However, after someone has quoted our initial comment, it is too late. Post content should define reputation, whether good or bad.

This is a bad idea..... btw, I also want the reputation feature back.... :D ^

Don't be fooled by the nature of some people here. As I stated, read each post and get to know the people. Some of us are blunt so that is not to be misconstrued as not being nice. There are also some posters that love to bait people into confrontation. It happens here, on this thread, and on other threads and forums as well. We appreciate your participation and jfe's remarks to you were not intended to you personally. He was referring to the way a new member can get some of the membership to get into a feeding frenzy on an issue that has been discussed in the past. Some members cannot let issues rest and this is a classic case. Then there are others that love to jump on the bandwagon and feed the frenzy. FlyerTalk represents a snapshot of society in our little cyber-world.

Well I was gone from Flyertalk for a little bit (I'll leave my reasons to your imagination), but thank you to those who have encouraged me to remain on Flyertalk. It shows that this can be a highly debated issue, but thank you, Randy, for your support in eliminating post counts from OMNI.
