“White?”

I absolutely thought for certain that a post pertaining to colors by a FlyerTalker named taupo would contain the answer ... well ... taupe!

Yes, but only during the summer months, between Memorial Day and Labor Day, or vice versa (I forget).

Yellow, anonplz. How are you?

What you wrote makes sense. Thank you.

For a moment, I thought I blue that post because I red the content wrong. After all, there are people who are taking a stand and are definitely not agreen with the original poster of this thread (as there seems to be no gray area to this debate), so I rose to the occasion by attempting a little levity here. As long as no one violets the terms and conditions of FlyerTalk, civil debate ensures that the discussion remains clearly black and white pertaining to the purplexing topic of this thread.

Orange you glad I participated in this thread?

------------------------

My apologies — I really did not mean to steal the spotlight and derail this thread, so I will mauve over and allow the discussion already in progress to continue...

If you want to talk about someone crossing the line how about Guava going after Empress in this Starwood thread.

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum74/HTML/009143.html

Grow up Guava and friends and recognize that those who actually contribute to the AC forum and not just bash every last thing have agreed 100% that dissension is allowed and encouraged in the AC forum.

Taking your hissy fit to other forums to bring outsiders in is really as childish as it can get. It wastes the time of those in the Starwood forum who are reading it, the moderators who now have to monitor another thread that you inflamed and then takes the time for Randy to have to look at it as well.

It's the New Year, how about you and your friends resolve to just give it up and stick to places other than the AC forum which you do nothing to contribute to? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

Guava Jan 1, 2004 2:05 pm

It's all good except you make false assumptions. ML is not my friend, O.K.?

And how about this, cross-posting the same thing in multiple forum is a big no-no.

Then you mention my name in a topic thread here:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum5/HTML/012295.html

Not only it's a violtion of TOS, I found it insulting.

AC forum is lawless, but I didn't know it's that bad - people can go around and name calling people and insult them publicly.

Glad you brought this to Randy's attention because it saves me time having to write a complaint.

Just some New Year's Day recommended reading:
http://www.flyertalk.com/rules.shtml

In particular, I'd suggest

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Personal attacks

We invite and encourage a healthy exchange of opinions. If you disagree with an opinion or idea expressed by another member, by all means, challenge the opinion or idea - not the person. Personal attacks on individuals, insults and "flaming" will not be tolerated and will be removed. You may challenge others' points of view and opinions, but do so respectfully and thoughtfully.

Do not retaliate or respond in any way to a personal attack that you perceive to be directed at yourself or another FlyerTalk member. All to often, when an initial attack is levied, others join the fray and instead of becoming part of the solution, they become part of the problem. If you feel that you have been the recipient of a personal attack, contact a TalkAssist volunteer immediately.

Also, please keep in mind that shouting online (typing in all capital letters LIKE THIS) is considered by some to be rude and difficult to read.

Offensive Language/Material

Any posts containing communications that are knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, obscene, profane, threatening, harassing, offensive, vulgar, abusive, hateful or bashing -- especially those aimed at sexual orientation, gender, race, color, religious views, national origin, or disability - will not be tolerated and will be removed. Individuals who do not abide by these rules are subject to having their FlyerTalk account permanently deleted.

Posts that contain explicit, obscene or vulgar images, or links to such images, will be removed without notice and accounts subject to deletion! Remember, posting to FlyerTalk is a privilege, not a right.</font>

Guava,

You brought up Empress's name and that is what brought out my response. Again, you try to make it look to others reading here as though we just go after anyone for no reason at all on the AC forum. This is absolutely false to those reading this.

We have had enough of those who hate AC and provide nothing useful in their posts and just complain none stop about AC. We don't come here always asking for them to be removed. I hate lawlessness as well but Guava started this one and like anyone else you can can only ignore them so much before you have to fire back.

I have made it very clear that I am willing to remove all posts relating to it if you care to remove your post about Empress. I have done so with others in the past and will do so again here. My posting history stands as my proof.

Randy I am sorry that this has come to yet another head. I will openly ask for a time out for this if you impose the same amount of time on Guava and recognize him as the instigator here. Take us both of us off the board for 1,2 or even 3 weeks if you want. I love FT but if I have to sit out and it takes Guava out for his antics while giving the AC forum some peace there then please do so ASAP.

Simon Jan 1, 2004 3:16 pm

There are most certainly some folks who act as Agent Provocateurs in the AC forum and then complain that it is nasty to anyone who has criticism against AC.

This is certainly not the case. Many of the folks who are labelled by these folks as "AC apologists" regularly post (constructive) criticisms of the airline and FF program.

Occasionally there are some jousts between regular members who contribute regularly to the spirit of the board, but there are a few members who come around for the sole reason of stirring the pot and then using it as a cry for moderation or complaints. It's these folks that should probably be looked at, not the regulars they stir up.

Doing my research now as I'd like to get this cleaned up before 2004 gets too old. Thanks for the input here and I'll see what might be appropriate to make the AC forum the model it once was.

Thanks.

Thank you for stepping into this mess and starting to straighten it out.
