Double triple cool. Thanks to the FlyerTalk team.
(This thank you offer is fully transferable, upgradeable and reuseable)
This must be a first in Internet advertising, a FREE site, where the users have had a banner (that helps pay for the site) removed!
Thanks to Randy and the team for taking the members issues so serious!

Thanks again. But, remember, even though I requested it, along with others, you can still have ads, and I think a few more would not hurt
Glad to see some others have jumped on this. Not only is the ad obnoxious, but it is insulting.
YOU ARE A WINNER!
Yeah right, And how many room nights did I win at the (former) Marriott in New York?
Any banner that is distracting can be turned off by pressing the escape key on your computer (top left corner "Esc").
I've used this little known trick for years. It only became manditory with this horrible banner.
I can live with it. I just kill the flashing.
To all others. "IF" it drives you crazy, don't click it. Thats what they want.

Sorry gang, we certainly didn't intentionally let it slip thriugh since we don't actually own the ad server nor do we preview the ads the agency has sold. If you follow the Internet business, you'll know that the leader in online ad sales, Engage recently closed it's doors. Well, Engage was our agency and we have a new agency which will take a little learning curve for them to know what our audience will permit to see and use as an ad. I agree, it's pretty annoying - guess they want to compete with the eyeball camera ads which used to hold the title for being most annoying. I'll have this amended as soon as possible.
By the way, do you think that any other business will listen to their members as much as we do in areas such as this?

Probably not! Thanks again Randy!

Thanks Randy. Was about to send an email, but see you are working on it, though it is still there insulting your members Friday morning. "You are a winner", yea right.
As to other business, some would not respond, some would never allow it, some would take action and others would see their customers go elsewhere. Hard to answer your question.
I am sure that any company with class would never allow it.
