I agree with Cigarman, again (this is boecoming a habit). I would not trust CO to notify me of anything. Both my wife and I are still waiting to be notified of the EUA and the discontinuance of the 50% E-ticket bonus. We have not gotten a bonus mailing (either e-mail or snail mail) since last year. CO seems seriously unreliable in its ability to get infromation to Onepass members. To rely on them getting you an e-mail statement in a timely and routine manner would goa against everything I have observed in the last few years. The paper is a necessary back-up.

I have gone back to paper myself. Randy is supposed to be researching the issue of the 1000 bonus miles and get back to me (I suggested he post the answer here) sometime soon. It was his suggestion to go for the miles in one of his articles.

This is a REALLY BAD IDEA...
.... for some but not for all. I have no problem checking my account balance on the web site, since I don't have a lot of CO transactions. And for my wife, 1K is another step closer to the 5K needed to redeem for 10K Hilton points. |
We've been getting the monthly email statements (actually, just a link to log into the web page). But we signed up for this in response to the notice about the miles, and were just wondering...
|
I called the service center this morning and I was assured that the 1,000 miles would post within 14 days. I signed up at the very beginning of February. I have reviewed my statements every month as I do believe that was the stipulation for the second bonus 500 miles.

Maybe you were designated for some reason. What about checking for the rest of us?? I am not sure regular customer service will do it. See if you can get a name of someone in authority for us to use when we individually have to fight with them. Did you receive your first 500 points??? I did not. Many did. Probably the designees...Thanks.

Still no miles. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

I spoke to Sandra at OnePass. She said my miles are there (in the account) but they won't show up online for about 3 weeks. I don't understand why it would take that long to appear. You might call OnePass and verify if you got the points or not.

I got my first 500 a few weeks after going electronic - however I have switched back to paper since I am moving cross-country soon and think I might need a paper statement if I decide to go for "comp" elite on another airline. I was on electronic for barely 3 months - would be nice if I got the 2nd 500 but I am not counting on it.
Hope I can manage to stay with CO flying out of PVD http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Best, Alec [Hey! - I think I just made Member instead of New Member with this post (or has the New Member/Member distinction been eliminated?] [This message has been edited by AlecM (edited 06-17-2001).] |
I emailed customer service and they posted our miles.
|
Well, you are the lucky one. They told me I was not in the targeted group. Maybe you received an offer. I only went by what Randy published on-line.
|
Despite what your staff person told everyone, Randy, I received a letter from Continental's Customer Service today stating that NO members of my family qualify for the 1000 points because we were not sent letters. I have forwarded this email letter to you. Can you help those of us with this problem? Thanks.

I and other family members have not received the 1000 mile bonus either, not even the initial 500 miles. I am in the same boat as Karen2.
|
The 1000 mile offer is also listed in the latest newsletter, so if you have not received it, it should post in 3 months.
