Talk Team Activity - something getting ready to happen?
Hey Randy,
I noticed the post count in the Talk Team room has moved dramatically in the past couple of days... does that mean you are ready to launch something major?
Just curious.

probably just a bug or someone posting a lot of nothing messages to get their post count up. I'll look into it....
You notice anyone in particular lately that seems to have an accelerated heartbeat from posting?
Cheers....
P.S. Besides it couldn't be me, aren't there some who say we never do anything around here?

Randy - sometimes a no reply is better.
On the other hand, what about the answer to the Marriott question? I only have 30 days left to cash out on the Marriott 713 reward.

Randy,
I hope you know I meant no disrespect. I was honestly curious as to whether something new was on the horizon.
I am so sorry if you read my post in any way other than the inquisitive way it was meant.

PG, did it ever occur to you to post your question in the Marriott forum?
I spent quite a few hours putting up most of the information you might have wanted on a webpage so it could be accessed by anyone who went onto the Marriott forum and looked for it, and flyerwife and others also were posting/sending me info on the topic.
NOW Randy's people have posted the complete award schedule (although AFAIK not the hotel info, I should ask if they want to link to the stuff I've already put up, which is Marriott's own html, or re-do it themselves).
But why not check out the obvious place first? Sorry to get off-topic, William.

I did check it there. Regarding the miles vs cert, the only place I've seen this mentioned says BA gives a cert, which is potentially in conflict with what Randy *might* have said, so I see nothing wrong with asking Randy for a clarification. The information on the Marriott forum tells nothing about whether miles can be accrued with the BA cert. You are right - I should ask it there also.

Are GG and PG lost or is it me??? It's only 3:00 PM in Paris; too early for cocktails, so I know I'm not seeing things. What are the two Marriott posts doing here?
Is this the problem DOC was talking about in the "Tech. Problems" Forum yesterday?
This could get messy!

Blair,
It is a mystery to me as well.... did not see how my innocent question to Randy had anything to do with Marriott.

Absolutely no!
And, FWIW, I do not believe Randy felt anything even remotely negative, no less disrespectful! It was a good natured shot at some much needed humour these days!
Randy may have just "accidentally" left out a liberal sprinkling of
&
!
Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Perhaps, doc, but I wouldn't expect you, of all people, to support "humour" at someone else's expense.
But you message came through loud and clear, perhaps because you didn't leave out a liberal sprinkling of

Support?
At someone else's expense?
Folks will read and interpret as they wish!
Perphaps PG is correct when he says making no reply is better!

If you look back at all my posts, you'll see that i'm not one for smilies....Anyway, i was just poking some fun, thus the comment about it being a bug, etc. You know the joke - "that's not a bug, that's a feature."
Anyway, I checked it out and it's a random group of members of FlyerTalk participating in a beta test of some new "features" and such for FlyerTalk. There's just a handful of random members to go over some of the new rules and navigation for you before we turn it live. As you can see from the number of posts there, they are all (really only about a half dozen of them) really doing a terrific job.
Chances are you'll all see the new FlyerTalk in the upcoming days.

RANDY,
Exactly the type of answer I was expecting... much better than no response.
I just wanted to make sure you knew I meant no disrespect. That happens enough on this board... and was certainly NOT my intent.
Also... smile more...
