2 FFP numbers for the same reservation
Hello,
I asked the BA customer service to change from LA to QF the FFP number I had put in a BA reservation for a MAN-LGW-FCO flight, and the rep answered that he would have put both the numbers.
I never got a reservation with double FFP number, so I thought it was a mistake, I mean no double earning allowed. But I was in a hurry so I just provided the other number without asking for further information on that.
After a little while, I got a new itinerary receipt by email, showing only the LANPass number.
Now, at ba.com, the Manage My Booking feature shows my reservation with the LANPass number, whereas at qantas.com.au the reservation is now listed in my QFF account quoting only the QFF number.
At checkmytrip.com, the traveller information quotes both the LANPass and the QFF number, LA first.
I don't see any evidence that the rep put a FFP number on the first segment and the other FFP on the second one.
How do they manage it and, above all, where I will get kms/points? LA or QF?
PS: how can I change on line the FFP number in a BA reservation? I have no BAEC account. Thanks.

Different GDS' can carry different FF numbers for the one booking. A recent example is in a ATW booked via AA. AA flights credited to my wife's AAdvantage account, yet the booking could be looked up on Qantas's MYB using her QFF number; all BA and QF flights credited to QFF.

Eg if you have QF WP but now switching to AA and do not yet have EXP you could credit to AA but still have in your PNR your OW Emerald status.
Not all airlines use the dual fields so YMMV.

Thanks for the explanations.
Any way to understand from sources like checkmytrip.com or airline websites which FFP is in the FQTV field and which one in the FQTS, in order to verify if staff member mixed things up?
Eg. based on the order the FFPs appear, or something like that.

It is possible to earn BA status with Asia Miles. There are a few threads on the CX forum that discuss this feature.
