DONE4: Moscow DME-SVO surface sector?
Sorry if this has been covered, I searched all over and couldn't find the answer...
For the purposes of the 16 sector e-ticket limit, is flying into DME and out of SVO considered a surface sector and therefore counted against the 16? For reference, I'm considering ...-LHR-DME,SVO-HEL-... Thanks.. |
Given the NY and Lon airports are surface sectors, am pretty sure you will have the same problem in Moscow, unless of course you can get a MOW (all city airports) code on the itin
The city airports issue was also one of the queries posed for onweorld4u which has not yet been answered. |
It will most probably count against your total 20 segments (or 16 in the future) but not against your limit of European flights.
|
If you ticket the segments in and out as open-dated and to the city code MOW then you should be OK. Just make the reservations separately and then get the ticket number entered.

Thanks for the advice. I ended up shaving one segment off my total itinerary to get within 16 segments even including DME,SVO.
