DONE4: Moscow DME-SVO surface sector?

Sorry if this has been covered, I searched all over and couldn't find the answer...

For the purposes of the 16 sector e-ticket limit, is flying into DME and out of SVO considered a surface sector and therefore counted against the 16?

For reference, I'm considering ...-LHR-DME,SVO-HEL-...

Thanks..

Given the NY and Lon airports are surface sectors, am pretty sure you will have the same problem in Moscow, unless of course you can get a MOW (all city airports) code on the itin

The city airports issue was also one of the queries posed for onweorld4u which has not yet been answered.

It will most probably count against your total 20 segments (or 16 in the future) but not against your limit of European flights.

If you ticket the segments in and out as open-dated and to the city code MOW then you should be OK. Just make the reservations separately and then get the ticket number entered.

Thanks for the advice. I ended up shaving one segment off my total itinerary to get within 16 segments even including DME,SVO.
