current circle pacific fares?
What are the current D-class circle pacific fares? I've looked and searched but I can't seem to fine the answer.
|
Originating where?
|
I also wondered what the difference is between this and the other circle product vs xONEs? The pricing seems identical, from what I can determine.
Could anyone explain what kind of routing would result in a clear benefit of using a circle fair over a xONEx or vice-versa? Thanks. |

I seem to recall that the Circle Pacific fares are cheaper than the ONEs. The Global Explorer has benefits over the One World Explorer due to some additional carriers being permitted Dave |
I also thought they were cheaper than xONEx. Perhaps virtualtroy is thinking of the World Circle Fare instead?

One benefit would be if the ticket allowed you to go where you want to go without having to go places where you may not

The Global Explorer has benefits over the One World Explorer due to some additional carriers being permitted A Circle Pacific ticket has the advantage that, e.g., you can get to Oz from the U.S. on it - you can't do that on a DONE3 because to get to Oz from anywhere else it has to be at least a DONE4. *GLOB* tickets have the advantage, as Dave points out, that some additional carriers are permitted - including JAL, which is potentially a big plus (albeit only until April 1, when you can use them on any OW ticket). |

I have just booked a Circle Pacific fare in A originating in Australia which is about the same price as a DONE4 in C. Advantage: I don't have to spend that much time on a plane, get first class service and pay $100 less than for a RTW.

Has anybody been able to pull Circle Fares from EF recently? The last time I saw them was the beginning of January. But, it still says "Routing information for circle fares and round the world fares are contained within fare rules." I've tried different carriers and different cities.

My last Circle Pacific was in January, a DCIR22 (22k mile limit in business), LAX-MEL-HKG-BKK-HKG-LAX, was $5300 base, totaling about $5700 with taxes/fees.
Not as good as a deal (mileage wise) as a xONEx, but convenient and much cheaper than LAX-MEL-LAX in J at $12k. |

I believe the problem is down to the failure of one of the data feeds EF was taking. I'm told a new feed will be in place within a fortnight (that was a week ago).

EF used to show the Circle Pacific fares along with *ONE* and *GLOB* fares but for some reason hasn't done so for several weeks now.
Thanks for your patience. EFV |

Happy to report that RTW, CircPac and GLOB fares are now available, once again, on ExpertFlyer.
Thanks for your patience. EFV Edit: Now I'm getting results with OW products from non-US origins but still not able to get a search from some US origins to come up with OW products, e.g., ORD, ROC, CMH, DFW. |
Thanks E/F voice; now showing for AUS-AUS puchased at AUS:
