Alternate Oneworld RTW

Hi There,

I am pretty experienced in DONE4s having doing at least 1 for the past 5 years.
However I have some colleagues who would like to do a mini version of my crazy 20 sectors itineary.

Are there any cheaper fares based on less stops or mileage cap for Oneworld RTW products?

Also I am really surprised that the price for LONE4 are pretty expensive ex BKK compare to Australia? It seems Australia is the cheapest in the world.

Global Explorer fares can sometimes be cheaper.

Global Explorer fares are identical to xONE4 fares.

Au is cheap for LONEs other than to be aware that WT+ upgrades, should they be wanted, are about 46% more expensive than elsewhere at AUD600/900 vs USD300/450 everywhere else ( except NZ which charges AU rate )

I know this isn't exactly what you're asking for, but I think the Star Alliance RTWs are priced based on mileage (sort of like the OW awards). I don't know how fares compare, but I imagine the shorter ones are cheaper than the OWE fares.

Kind of pointless to speculate unless we knew where the OP's associates are traveling from and to, class of service, and when.

Yes there are cheaper RTW fares than DONE4s. But some of them won't get you where you want to go.

The first two links to "reference sites" in this thread contain many alternate RTWs with oneworld airlines, but, as said, it all depends where you start.

Not sure where the OP is based, but

Certainly within Australia, Finnair offers some nice linkups with CX,QF,BA
eg.
Business Sydney-Bangkok-Helsinki-New York-Sydney for A$6,769
http://www.bestflights.com.au/cgi-bi...indetails=7257

Restriction that at least one long-hall sector must be on AY.
A lot cheaper than the equivalent DONE fares in Australia

I doubt the equivalent Y fares are much cheaper given the LONE fares are often not much more than a single return segment.
