Cheers, BA and CX. Gota be fun picking one of the two... Might as well go to both.
It's roomy and there are some drinks and bikkies.
It's certainly (and surprisingly) not up to Terraces standards.
AA also has a lounge at FRA (the AC outside of security) and it happens to be the best OW lounge at FRA (better than BA and CX). None of the lounges are very good at FRA, if you need a good lounge the best choice is to either fly LH in F (then you can use the separate F terminal and that does have a good lounge, best in the world at the moment) or pay to use the Sheraton hotel facilities.
Excellent point about the security lines at FRA, but they vary a lot by destination. Security for the US bound flights are very long -- sometimes hours -- while security line for Schengen zone is a minute or two (rarely more in my limited experience). For non-Schengen such as UK it can be 5 minutes when the line is long. It really is only the US-bound security line that is awful at FRA, however if you are flying F on AA you skip most of the line and it takes 5 minutes at most. Flying LH it takes 5 seconds, but that is another story.
AA Lounge FRA
AAs Admirals Club is located in terminal 1, departure level, right adjacent to the bridge connecting the terminal building with the Sheraton Hotel. Nice facilities. However, trust you will take CX to HKG in terminal 2 though. ^
Getting between terminal 1 and 2 is pretty fast, 10 minutes, and generally security lines at terminal 2 are much shorter than at 1. I always walk it (good exercise) but you can take the train.
