Site to Cross-Reference Booking Reference Numbers?
Qatar Airways doesn't provide a Royal Air Maroc booking reference number for their codeshare flights on RAM. The QR reference doesn't work on the RAM site, which also doesn't allow a ticket number to be entered. I want to assign a seat!
I think Finnair used to allow cross-referencing, but doesn't seem to do so anymore. Any other options? |

Some have changed in the last year or so. A few clicks may give more info.. UL used to work, but interface has changed for the worse. https://www.srilankan.com/en_uk/plan...e-your-booking Edit BA forum - https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/brit...rkarounds.html (locked) |

The QR PNR isn’t recognised by AY….😔. Fortunately, we can select seats via QR. can’t say the same for an IB leg that’s useless even with the IB PNR…. |
I have seen trips with separate different pnr for AA, Alaska, Iberia, and JAL/BA/QR/AY with the last one tending to be the same across those carriers.

When I used QR web site, I have to disable VPN and use browser in incognito (or In Provate mode). Otherwise, I never would receive a code via text to my phone nor to my email. |
Cathay MMB accepts both Amadeus (JL/BA/QR/AY) and AA Sabre PNRs (as long as there's an AA flight in the Amadeus version of the reservation) which is handy for RTWs. But there's pretty much nothing you can do other than request an e-ticket receipt. Seat selection only works for CX operated segments...

After further inquiries, I'm going to answer my own question for the benefit of anyone else.
I was able to assign a seat on this Royal Air Maroc flight (Qatar codeshare) only through the Qatar call center. Not through RAM, and not on the QR website or app. Perhaps the giveaway is that with 30 business class seats in the cabin, as indicated by Aerolopa, only 10 show up on Expert Flyer under the RAM flight number. It's as if the others don't exist. One of those missing seats was assigned by Qatar...BUT...BUT...only after the Qatar rep said I'd have to call RAM, and I pushed back saying RAM couldn't see my reservation even at their call center. I asked QR to send me an e-mail confirmation, and sure enough it shows the seat number. Now, I went back to Expert Flyer and entered the Qatar Airways codeshare number for the flight. Sure enough, the 20 missing seats showed up here. Normally, you wouldn't be able to get a result with a codeshare flight number. Advice for Qatar Airways: in such a circumstance, allow for seat selection in your app and on your website. Don't make customers dial your call center, which almost certainly is more costly. |

This is interesting! Didn't know that QR/AT have a block space agreement on DOH-CMN. The operator is definitely AT, but certain seats are assigned to be sold as if they were QR's own seats. Indeed, in this case, the reservation system treats the QR code and AT code as 2 separate flights, and information on pax booked on the QR code does not get passed to AT until a few days before dep., when the flight will be prepared for check-in. That is why AT will not be able to service this sector. I've seen this on QF/LA and QF/CZ before (maybe those agreements lapsed) but didn't know this is also how QR/AT work on this particular route. Try RJ.com I have used them many times with an Amadeus PNR to select seats and update details even if the itinerary had no RJ flights.

Well, not with a QR booking unless there’s an RJ sector on the PNR… |
RJ.com will only show a booking if it has an RJ sector in it.
