Cathay MMB [sic] accepts both Amadeus (JL/BA/QR/AY) and AA Sabre PNRs (as long as there's an AA flight in the Amadeus version of the reservation) which is handy for RTWs. But there's pretty much nothing you can do other than request an e-ticket receipt. Seat selection only works for CX operated segments...
