Cathay Pacific Miles Expired
My Cathay Pacific miles expired at the end of September this year. I contacted Cathay's customer service, and they replied that they couldn't be restored. I was wondering if there are any other options? Can I retroactively add a car rental order from before the expiration date? Thanks!

I had 659000 miles that expired in May 2024. I called Cathay pleading for an extension, and the only thing they can offer me is $40 for 2000 blocks, which comes to about $13000. There is no reinstatement challenge at the moment. Has anyone been offered any other recourse recently?
Thanks for any advice.

Recent experience.
If it is within 1 month since the miles have expired they maybe able to reinstate them, between 2 - 6 months they want to charge USD 40 for every 2000 miles. If it is more than 6 months there is nothing they can do. |
