BA lounge access at JFK - flying AS
Hi all,
I’m a OW Emerald flying out of JFK soon on Alaska (economy ticket). 5 PM flight. Am I permitted to use the BA First lounge in T7 on this trip? thanks! |

If your Emerald status is via AA or AS, only if there is another flight following your AS flight that takes you somewhere outside of US, Canada, Mexico (except Mexico City), the Bahamas, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Otherwise, yes. Please be aware BA could cite capaacity issue and deny you.

Thanks for this. It's a domestic flight and my status is through AA, so it sounds like I would not be able to use the lounge. For some reason I thought the "international flights only" rule only applied to using AA and AS lounges. Appreciate the info!
It's complex and nuanced enough that each lounge and even each Dragon(ness) has his/her own interpretations of the rule. |
I'm in a similar situation, but my one world status is through Royal Air Maroc. I know I'm eligible by letter of the law to access the BA lounge at JFK T7 or the BA lounge at IAD on domestic only itineraries, but in practice does anyone know if the lounge dragons at BA lounges follow oneworld rules?
(I've always been fine accessing AA flagship lounges and the oneworld lounge at LAX on domestic flights, but never tried BA) |
Thanks for this. Is it any different if I'm in F on Alaska?
