Any way to pay for OneWorld Ruby?
Hi all. I can't fly enough to get a status with any airline, so I was just wondering if anyone knows of a program where you can pay for status miles or pay for a status that includes OneWorld Ruby+.

If anyone knows, that would be great.

Where are you based? And if you don't fly often enough to earn low-tier status, what oneworld Ruby benefits would you hope to use?

  1. Access to Business Class priority check-in
  2. Access to preferred or pre-reserved seating*
  3. Priority on waitlists and when on standby*
*In accordance with the individual policy of the oneworld airline operating the flight.

Some airlines may offer more privileges to there own frequent flyers

S7 sell status.

It costs far more than the value of some waived baggage or seat selection fees though...

I'm based in the United States. I mostly want it just for the priority check-in.

Don't know of a way to get alliance-wide check-in privileges. That said, if you just want priority check-in on AA-operated flights only, you could get the Citi Executive card for $450 (also includes Admirals Club and Group 4 boarding).

AA does offer certain benefits -- beyond what oneworld requires -- to oneworld Ruby members from other programs.

If you ever have occasion to fly roundtrip from the U.S. to Europe or beyond in Business or First Class, traveling on at least two BA flights and crediting all the travel (including connecting flights on AA or another oneworld member) to
​​​​​a BAEC account might well get you BAEC Bronze/oneworld Ruby status. Details here:

seems like they still do it, however the conditions appear to have been modified such that you need to take one s7 flight per 12 months:
