Circle and Visit Fares discontinued (other than Circle Pacific)

I have it on good authority (a Oneworld vice president no less) that sale of all Oneworld Circle and Visit fares has been discontinued - other than the Circle Pacific fare

To quote the V.P.
We have discontinued sale of our Visit fares and the Circle fares, other than Circle Pacific. The volume of sales were not enough to justify retaining these in the marketplace, as customers found other fare combinations to meet their travel needs. We stopped the promotion of these fares coincident with the launch of the new website
So, the Circle fares discontinued are:
  • Circle Atlantic
  • One World Circle (which was for Europe/Middle East -->Asia-->SWP-->Africa)
  • Circle Asia
The Visit fares were for visiting a single continent

Following this change, there are now only three remaining Oneworld fares:
  • Oneworld Explorer
  • Global Explorer
  • Circle Pacific

I'm going to have to work out something else now. I've been getting yearly DAS13+DONE3s since 2010.

pandaperth,
Thanks for the heads-up. I didn't do Circle Visit Fare that often. So the impact will be minimal.

Himeno,
Good luck in your search. Come back and let us know what you are up to next

Originally the Circle Pacific fares crossed alliances, while the Visit fares were a single carrier. It's interesting to see them considered as oneworld fares now.
