Which OW Airline FF program doesn't have a requirement of flying on their metal?

I guess I would stick with the BAEC. Opening account tomorrow would make me OWE in October, and by the end of the year I should be half-way to GGL, so I guess it's worth trying. Then I will have to change my habits and instead of flying to Asia on QR will need to switch to BA to make use of the benefits. CCR is really tempting. However I really prefer the inflight product of QR, especially now with Q Suites....
If you choose a different carrier out of LHR, it will be typically LHR Terminal 3, and the CX F lounge there in has equal/better dining than the CCR, and the Qantas lounge there has a better bar than the CCR, both of which you can access without flying in BA in F or doing stratospheric levels of flying.

Really? Compared to the BA F lounge sure, but to the CCR? That's not my perception from reviews I've read, although it's been quite a while since I was at LHR (and I've never been to the QF lounge, but I'd be rather surprised if it beats the CCR wine & champagne list).

I love wine, don't get me wrong, but I'm much more fond of going to a dozen wineries and finding something that suits my taste, rather than spending top dollar for the champagne everyone else says is very special and I think is almost as good as that one I got a half dozen of for $15/bottle at a cellar door in northern NSW that time. I don't find price attractive or tasty.
